Chandrakanth Mamillapalli, known as Chandra is pursuing his post graduation in Mathematics and at the same time he is passionate about playing Mridangam.

At the age of 10 he has joined Sree Bhakta Ramadasu College Of Music And Dance and started learning Mridangam. Because of school studies he has to stay at Anantapur, but continued his Mridangam lessonsfrom Sri. Rayudu at Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh.

His passion towards Mridangam made him comeback to Hyderabad and his association with his guru Sree Palakurthi Ramanchandra Sharma started again at Sree Bhakta Ramadas College of Music and Dance, Secunderabad.

His ability to learn quickly and setting himself a high standard has earned him lots of opportunities to showcase his talent.

Some of his performances were staged at Thyagaraya Gana Sabha, Silpa Kala Vedika, Ravindra Bharathi.

He is fortunate enough to share stage with great Shri Yella Venkateswara Rao in Maa Tvs Naada Vinodam Grand Finale along with co participants of the successful programme.

Represented India for the International Drum Festival 2016 held in Egypt in a team of 7 members

In Jan 2015, won precious State Level ‘Telangana Youth Festival Competition’.

Accompanied Mayura Natyam and Simha Nandini onn the Mridangam at Delhi International Art Festival held at Delhi in February 2014.

Played for the Samajawaragamana program telecasted in the TTD channel.

Fortunate to be a part of the winning team RAGA RANJANI HYDERABAD of a successful competition BHAJAN SAMRAT 2 by SANKARA TV (2013).

Fortunate enough to share stage with great Shri Yella Venkateswara Rao in Maa Tv's Naada Vinodam (Competition for all the instruments)grand finale along with co-participants of the successful programme.

Toured all over India and played various programmes under the gracious presence of Sri China Jeeyar Swamy, Sri Sachidananda Bharathi Swamy, Sri Swaroopananda swamy etc. and also on the renowned stages such as Naada Neerajanam (Tirumala), Naadanamana (Mantralayam)etc.

Won many prizes by participating in the College level, University level, District level and also State level Competitions held by the Govt. of Andhra Pradesh.

The albums he played Manikaya Veena, Mohana Raaga Sammohanam etc.
